Overview of the Advisory Boards
Faculty Council
The Faculty Council decides on the distribution and use of faculty resources (funds, equipments and personnel ) and is responsible for the questions concerning teaching and research.
Advisory Board for Doctorate
The Advisory Board for Doctorate is responsible for the execution of doctoral examination procedures.
Advisory Board for Structure
The Advisory Board for Structure is established by the Faculty Council. It advises on structural issues of the faculty and provides the dean's office and the Faculty Council suggestion on how to reach decisions.
Advisory Board for Tenure Track
The Advisory Board for Tenure Track is established by the Faculty Council. It is responsible for the adequate organisation and development of the academic tenured post. Furthermore, it conducts interim as well as final evaluation. The Advisory Borad for Tenure Track supervises the organisation and development of the respective tenured post over the entire period from the advertisemet to the final evaluation.
Advisory Board for Academic Affairs
According to § 28 Abs. 8 HG, the advisory board advises the Faculty Council and the dean's office on all academic affairs concerning teaching, study and examination, especially the study reform, the evaluation of teaching and study, cancellation and amendment of examination regulations.
Advisory Board for Quality Improvement
The advisory board advises the dean's office on the distribution of funds which are allocated for the quality improvement.
Advisory Board for Examination
Tasks: Supervision of the compliance with examination regulations as well as the adequate execution of examinations (announcement of appointments and deadlines for examinations, appointment of examiner); Decision on the recognition of academic achievements; Decision by disagreement, by individual request and on hardship cases; Permission of cumpulsory attendance as well as the study achievements, if they are not explicitly regulated in specific regulations; Regular reports (at least once per year) on examination procedures; Developmet of proposal and reform of the examination regulations; Permission of new elective modules.
Advisory Board for Research and International Affairs
The board gives advice to the dean's office on strategical questions, especially those concernig the development of transdisciplinary research.
Advisory Board for Lectureship and Capacity Enquiries
The Advisory Board ensures adequate coordination of lectureship and capacity enquiries.
